Activity programme for schools in Veneto a.y. 2022-2023

Europe Direct del Comune di Venezia, the Information Service of the European Commission that operates in the Veneto region to increase knowledge and debate on European issues, especially among young people and schools, offers free of charge for the school year 2022/2023 n.7 proposals addressed to teachers and students of the Veneto region divided between first and second grade secondary schools.
Europe Direct del Comune di Venezia has as its Veneto partner the MI - USR Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Veneto, which is conveying this programme of activities 2022-2023.
The proposals may be available in distance learning mode if necessary for Covid containment measures.
Teachers can join the proposals (it is possible to join several proposals) by sending a confirmation email: infoeuropa@comune.venezia.it .

SECONDARY SCHOOL CLASSES
PROPOSAL 1 for classes

Playful-didactic module "Europe enters the classroom", to explain the European Union, to discover the different habits and customs of the 27 member countries and to learn the basics of European citizenship. See details.
=> at secondary schools in the Municipality of Venice, January-April 2023 (date to be agreed with the schools - meeting also possible online)

SECONDARY SCHOOL CLASSES
PROPOSAL 2 for classes

Cycle of meetings "At school in Europe", lessons to explain Italian and European citizenship (history, institutions, citizenship and mobility) to the younger generations by specialised personnel.
=> At secondary schools in the Veneto Region, January-March 2023 (date to be agreed with the schools - meeting also possible online)
Form included in the Educational Itineraries of the Municipality of Venice

PROPOSAL 3 for classes
Participation in the "Let's become European citizens" 2022-2023 competition individually or as a class with a written essay or graphic production in collaboration with the MFE Movimento Federalista Europeo (prize: holiday and Europeanist training in a European Union country in summer 2023). 
=> Award ceremony: Mestre, Metropolitan City of Venice, May 2023 as part of the Europe Day in Venice (meeting also possible online)

PROPOSAL 4 for classes
Conference-debate "Europe for young people" and award ceremony for the competition "Let's become European citizens" in collaboration with the MFE Movimento Federalista Europeo on the occasion of Europe Day. See details of the 2022 edition

PROPOSAL 5 for classes
Educational exhibition "The Mothers and Founding Fathers of the European Union"
exhibition of 22 free-standing bilingual Italian-English panels on the visionary leaders (women and men) who inspired the creation of the European Union. Installation, opening and dismantling by Europe Direct. See details of the 2022 edition

PROPOSAL 6 for classes
Virtual educational module "Diploma in your pocket", virtual lesson on transnational educational mobility with study and work opportunities abroad for high school and university students on post-diploma orientation abroad.

PROPOSAL 7 for teachers
Training-informative module on European civic education "Cycle of meetings on the European Union", the aim of which is to provide basic training on European issues to teachers, students and the general public. The course is part of the academic year programme of the Nicola Saba Association, which consists of lessons that can also be attended individually.
For teachers, the module also includes a study visit to M9 - Museo del '900 in Mestre-Venice: free access to the museum and a guided tour with a European thematic path.
