Activity program for Venetian schools a.y. 2018-2019

Europe Direct in Venice, Information Service of the European Commission operating in the Veneto region to increasing the knowledge about European issues, especially among young people and schools, prepared for the 2018-19 school year n.8 proposals addressed to teachers and students of the Veneto region, divided between kindergartens, primary, secondary and secondary schools.

Europe Direct in Venice has as its Veneto partner the MIUR - USR Regional School Office for Veneto which carries this activity program 2018-2019.

Teachers can join the proposals (it is possible to join several proposals), by sending a confirmation email: infoeuropa@comune.venezia.it.

KINDERGADEN CLASSES 

- Proposal 1: European project for the exchange of Christmas decorations, exchange of Christmas decorations between elementary and kindergarden schools of the European Union, to deepen the knowledge of other countries, to integrate language learning, geography and history of other countries and facilitate relations between schools in the European Union. Accession of schools from all over Veneto. SEE DETAIL

PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASSES

- Proposal 1: European project for the exchange of Christmas decorations, exchange of Christmas decorations between elementary and kindergarden schools of the European Union, to deepen the knowledge of other countries, to integrate language learning, geography and history of other countries and facilitate relations between schools in the European Union. Accession of schools from all over Veneto. SEE DETAIL

- Proposal 2: "GiOcaEuropa" ludic-educational module, a virtual journey through the 28 countries of the European Union, to discover the different traditions and customs and learn the basics of European citizenship. 2 hours of cartoon and game of chuttes and ladders (LIM classroom + gym). SEE DETAIL
=> at the primary schools in Venice, January-April 2019 (date to be agreed with schools) - Module included in the Educational Itineraries of the City of Venice

- Proposal 3: Show "A fabulous Europe", animated reading of European fairy tales to discover what unites us, in collaboration with the Pantakin Theater Company, on the occasion of the Europe Day. SEE DETAIL (edition 2018)

SECONDARY SCHOOL CLASSES OF FIRST GRADE

- Proposal 4: Educational module "Traveling Europe", virtual journey through the 28 countries of the European Union, to discover the different traditions and customs and learn the basics of European citizenship. 2 hours of giant Risiko type playing at school (in the gym). SEE DETAIL
=> at the secondary schools of the Municipality of Venice, January-April 2019 (date to be agreed with the schools) - Module included in the Educational Itineraries of the City of Venice

 

SECONDARY SCHOOL CLASSES OF SECOND GRADE

- PROPOSAL 5: Cycle of meetings "At school of Europe", lectures on European themes (priorities, institutions, citizenship, mobility and European elections 2019) by qualified personnel SEE DETAIL (2017-2018 edition)
=> At secondary schools of Veneto, January-March 2019 (date to be agreed with schools)

- PROPOSAL 6: Participation at the competition "Becoming European citizens" individual or classes with written or graphic productions in collaboration with the MFE European Federalist Movement (prize: holiday stay and European-level training at the Neumarkt House of Europe - Styria - Austria at the end of July 2019). => Awarding ceremony: Mestre, Metropolitan City of Venice, May 2019 (date to be agreed)

- PROPOSAL 7: Conference-debate "Europe for young people" and "Becoming European citizens" contest awarding ceremony in collaboration with the European Federalist Movement MFE on the occasion of the Europe Day. SEE DETAIL (edition 2018)
=> Mestre, Metropolitan City of Venice, May 2019 (date to be allocated) 9.00-13.00

- PROPOSAL 8: Educational exhibition "The Founding Mothers and Founding Fathers of the European Union" of 17 Italian-English bilingual self-supporting panels on the 20 visionary leaders (9 women and 11 men) who inspired the creation of the European Union. Assembly, inauguration and dismantling by Europe Direct. SEE DETAIL (2018 edition)
=> at the secondary school of the Veneto, January-May 2018 (period of 2-3 weeks to be agreed with the schools)
