"Becoming European citizens" contest 2018

The contest "Becoming European citizens 2018" is now open for young people and schools organized by the European Federalist Movement in collaboration with Europe Direct of the City of Venice, to stimulate active, informed European citizenship.

The competition is based on one of the following tests:
- WRITTEN TEST: article, short essay, theme, report, essay, etc .; maximum 4 sides of protocol sheet or 5 folders. See the topics in the competition announcement.
- GRAPHIC TEST: choice of format; allowed all techniques, including multimedia. See the topics in the competition announcement.
Competition for students of the three-year secondary school in Veneto.
Deadline for the presentation of the test: April 15, 2018 (see details in the announcement)

Prize: winners will be rewarded with a European holidayliving and training at the House of Europe in Neumarkt (Styria - Austria) from 23 to 28 July 2018.
The winners will be officially awarded on May 10, 2018 in Mestre during the conference-debate "Europe for young people" where will also host the award ceremony "Becoming European citizens"

Cycle of meetings "A school of Europe"
To encourage participation in the competition and to encourage European debates, the schools can request a meeting at their seats with Europe Direct of the City of Venice and the MFE, on the issues of European citizenship, the European institutions, mobility transnational education and the priorities of the new European Parliament and the European Commission.
