Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 18.00 to 19.30, the "Climate Walk in Venice" of the cycle of meetings "The Green Deal is us" was held in Venice with free participation of citizens after registration. The theme of this second meeting is "Weather, energy and climate: tides in Venice". The ecological walk began at Magazzini del Sale, Dorsoduro 262, Venice (entrance to the BIO ARSMar exhibition). 

A fascinating educational journey that explored the interaction between meteorology, energy and climate in the Venetian lagoon. The route winds from the suggestive Magazzini del Sale, continuing along the historic foundation until reaching Punta della Dogana, where there is the important tide gauge that monitors water levels. The tour ended again at Magazzini del Sale where participants were able to deepen the themes through a visit to the BIO ARSMar exhibition

The climate walk was led by researchers Fabiana Corami, Beatrice Rosso and Gabriella Traviglia of CNR-ISP Venice (National Research Council - Institute of Polar Sciences) and CNR-ISMAR Venice (National Research Council - Institute of Marine Sciences). Francesca Vianello, head of Europe Direct Venezia Veneto and Luciana Favaro, EuCliPA.it - Association of Italian Ambassadors of the European Climate Pact.

The exhibition entitled "Bio Biodiversity as essential coexistence" is the 4th edition of ARSMar - Art of Marine Sciences. The exhibition explores the concept of biodiversity as an interconnected network of life, inviting visitors to discover the varieties of life, from small crustaceans hidden in the depths of underground rivers to the complex migratory routes of passerines, To rediscover the importance of preserving the natural balance of the planet.
The exhibition is accompanied by a programme of events, workshops and group activities to explore the extraordinary variety of life on our planet.
Through the exhibited works and the rich public program, the aim of the exhibition is to make tangible the fragility and beauty of natural balances, stimulating in the visitor a reflection on our responsibility in preserving them. Biodiversity is fundamental today: it represents an invaluable natural heritage and a model of co-existence from which to learn.
The objective of the exhibition is also to preserve a coexistence, not only possible but also essential, continuing the commitment in the interaction between different disciplines, between public and science, between art and nature and between generations, Awareness of the vital role of biodiversity for the future of our planet.

The cycle of meetings ‘The Green Deal is us’ is organised by Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of VeniceEuCliPA.it - Association of Italian Ambassadors of the European Climate Pact, and CNR-ISP Venice (National Research Council and Institute of Polar Science) for a total of three meetings between May and September 2025 on climate change and the need for a radical transformation of lifestyles, economy and society.
