On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the award ceremony for the “Let’s Become European Citizens” competition – school year 2025–2026 edition – took place in Mestre at the conference hall of the Centro Culturale Candiani, in collaboration with the MI - USR Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Veneto and MFE Movimento Federalista Europeo.

The ‘Let’s Become European Citizens’ competition for the 2025/2026 academic year, aimed at young people and schools, has been organised by the European Federalist Movement in collaboration with Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice to encourage active and informed European citizenship. The competition is open to students in their final three years of upper secondary school in the Veneto region.
The meeting was attended by schools that have joined the"A scuola d'Europa" series of meetings and have entered the "Diventiamo cittadini europei" (‘Let's Become European Citizens’) competition:

A total of eight schools from three different counties were involved: Padova, Treviso e Venezia.

10.00–10.45 am: Speeches by officials
10.45–11.00 am: Break
11.00 am–12.00 pm: School awards ceremony
12.00 pm: Closing remarks
