Activity program for Venetian schools 2020-2021

Europe Direct of the Municipality of Venice, the Information Service of the European Commission operating in the Veneto region to increase knowledge and debate on European issues, especially among young people and schools, has developed the following planning for the school year 2020/2021:
n.6 proposals addressed to teachers and students of the Veneto region, divided between lower and upper secondary schools.
"MIUR - USR Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Veneto", as an Europe Direct of the City of Venice partner in the Veneto region, promotes this 2020-2021 programme of activities.
Proposals may be available on a e-learning mode if necessary, due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
Teachers can subscribe the proposals (it is possible to join more than one proposal) by sending a confirmation email to: infoeuropa@comune.venezia.it.
 
MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSES 
 
PROPOSAL n.1
Playful-didactic module "L’Europa entra in classe", to explain the European Union, to discover the different customs and traditions and to learn the basics of European citizenship.
=> at the 1st degree secondary schools of the Municipality of Venice, January-April 2021 (date to be agreed with schools)
This module is included in the Educational Itineraries of the City of Venice.

HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES

PROPOSAL n.2
Cycle of meetings “At school of Europe”, lectures to explain Italian and European citizenship (priorities, institutions, citizenship and mobility) to the younger generations by qualified experts.
=> at 2nd degree secondary schools in the Veneto region, January-March 2021 (date to be agreed with schools - online meeting is possible)
This module is included in the Educational Itineraries of the City of Venice.

PROPOSAL n.3
Participation in the " Let's become European citizens" 2020-2021 competition, either individually or as a class, with a written or graphic production in collaboration with the MFE Movimento Federalista Europeo (prize: European holiday and training in an EU country in summer 2021). See details on the announcement of the 2020-2021 competition. 
=> Award ceremony: Mestre, Venice Metropolitan City Council, May 2021 (online meeting is possible)

Conference-debate "Europe for young people" and award contest "Let's become European citizens" in collaboration with the MFE European Federalist Movement on the occasion of the Europe Day Celebrations

PROPOSAL n.5
Educational exhibition "The mothers and founding fathers of the European Union" exhibition of 20 bilingual Italian-English self-supporting panels on the 20 visionary leaders (7 women and 13 men) that inspired the creation of the European Union. Assembly, inauguration and disassembly by Europe Direct. See the details of 2020 edition.
=> at high schools of the Veneto region, january-may 2021 (from to 2 to 3 weeks to be agreed with high schools).

PROPOSAL n.6

Virtual educational module "The world in your pocket" a virtual lesson on transnational educational mobility with study and work opportunities abroad for high school and university students. You can consult the Virtual Educational Module - Free DVD on orientation after graduation DVD "The world in your pocket".
