From Monday 30th of May and Wednesday 1st of June was held in Milan the General Meeting of the Europe Direct of the country members of the European Union. The managers of the centers from all over the European Union have met in Milan to get to know better, talk about european politics, to strenghten their network and to assist to the meeting and presentation on the activities of the European Commission and the Parliament.
Europe Direct Venezia Veneto partecipated at the three days meeting.
In Italy there are 45 centers, which help the European Commission and Parliament to bring information on the opportunities of the European Union in the region of our country. Even the Municipality of Venice is part of the network Europe Direct.
The infocenters Europe Direct present in all the Member States of the EU with 424 Center, are distribuited all over the territories of the nation and are housed in local public bodies (regions, provinces, metropolitan cities, municipalities), universities, cooperatives, consortia and associations. The Municipality of Venice is one of 45 selected centers in Italy that give continuity to the European Citizens Information Service through a special desk that enables citizens, civil society, businesses and institutions to obtain comprehensive information and practical advice, "at their fingertips," on the rights enshrined in European legislation as well as on the opportunities that arise from participation in the European Union.
