Conference "Crossing borders" 02.03.2023 - Venice

Thursday the 2nd of March 2023 at 2.30 pm the conference "New narratives in comparison" has been held in Venice by the Archivio Scritture Scrittrici Migranti, the Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Department of Linguistic and Comparative Cultural Studies), in collaboration with the Europe Direct Office of the Municipality of Venice.

The conference "New narratives compared" has been held at the Ca' Foscari Zattere - Cultural Flow Zone, Zattere al Pontelungo, Dorsoduro 1392, Venice. Free admission to citizenship until all available places are exhausted.

The Archivio Scritture Scrittrici Migranti (ASSM) is a project that has become an institution of the Ca'Foscari University by resolution of the Academic Senate, which is located in the Library of the Educational Service. Since 2011 ASSM has participated in critical practices of transcultural and interdisciplinary action to enhance the intertwining and mingling of knowledge, eliminate prejudices and fears towards what is considered "the other" and build empathy and understanding towards complex contemporary phenomena not more avoidable.
ASSM  is proposed as a point of reference for gender and migration studies in the dual perspective of immigration and emigration.

The meeting, dedicated to students and citizens, has been moderated by Professor Vanessa Castagna, Ca' Foscari University of Venice and has seen the participation of:
