Friday, May 8, 2020 at 17.00 was held the webmeeting "The EU and the Global Pandemic", edited by VIU - Venice International University, debate with the participation of students and university professors.

The Venice International University (VIU) is a unique institution in the international academic scene, which is joined by 20 universities of the world on the island of San Servolo where they have created an international campus. Founded in 1995 by Ca' Foscari and IUAV, together with other universities, it was created in order to unite teachers, researchers and students from all over the world in an international context, encouraging the exchange of ideas and knowledge.Today, VIU offers the city of Venice and its hinterland a wide variety of academic and scientific initiatives that focus mainly on: sustainable development, climate change, ageing, urban growth, global ethics, cultural heritage.

The Venice Diplomatic Society (VDS) is a non-profit socio-cultural association recognized by the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and composed mainly of its students and former students.
Founded in 2015 to provide students of International Comparative Relations with different opportunities to improve their knowledge and skills in the diplomatic field, the organization has evolved over time. Having greatly expanded its offer and target, today it deals with various activities directed to students from the most diverse academic backgrounds who share the interest in international studies in all their declinations.
Simulations of the functioning of European Institutions, training seminars for Model United Nations participants, discussion days and much more. " VDS" means all this: but the association does not even renounce to be an aggregative context for young people who share these interests and a deep spirit of initiative; and channel of diffusion, up to the first levels of education, of a rich and multifaceted international culture, to provide young people with the tools to rethink the local dimension in the world context - from which the motto “Learn How To Make The Difference”.
