November Woman 2022

On the occasion of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, established by the UN in 1999, the Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice in collaboration with Ca' Foscari University of Venice is organizing 3 events to create awareness about the issue and what has been done, is being done and still can be done to combat violence against women.

Events:

• Friday, Nov. 11, "Teresina - A True Story": 6 p.m., at the Candiani Cultural Center in Mestre.
• Tuesday, Nov. 22, "The European Union's Action for Women": 4 p.m., at the Seminar Room of the Candiani Cultural Center in Mestre. 
• Friday, Nov. 25, "Women's Time": 9:30 a.m., at the Barter Hall of Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
• Monday, Nov. 28, "The Istanbul Convention and the proposed EU directive on combating gender-based violence": 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Aula Magna Silvio Trentin of Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

These initiatives are part of "November Women 2022" as part of which the City of Venice presents a full calendar of initiatives organized by the Presidency of the City Council together with the six local municipalities, the City's Anti-Violence Center and many associations. Go to the full program
