On Wednesday, April 30 2025, at 11 a.m., a press conference to present the Festival of Europe in Venice 2025 was be held at Mestre City Hall, Via Palazzo 1, in the presence of municipal authorities, the Europe Direct Venezia Veneto service of the City of Venice, and the institutional partners participating in the city event in May.

From May 5 to 31, 2025, the Festival of Europe in Venice, the great Venetian event now in its 13th edition, was held. 
The title of the 13th edition of the event was “WE EUROPE” as a sign of the Europeanist nature of the City of Venice and the institutional partners that have always collaborated with it. The event wanted to remember the two most significant historical dates for Europe: May 5, 1949, the founding of the Council of Europe through the Treaty of London, and May 9, 1950, the birth of the European Union with the “Schuman Declaration” at the Paris speech.

 

The 2025 program was full of initiatives to foster a more aware European citizenship: in almost a month of events, exhibitions, meetings, music and screenings with nearly 30 events scheduled. Various target audiences including young people, students, entrepreneurs and citizens. More than 30 partners are involved including local, national and European institutions and organizations.

The Festa dell’Europa a Venezia 2025 events, also this year, was included in the schedule of “Le Città in Festa”.
