On 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, established by the United Nations in 1999, the City of Venice joined in the celebrations of this important day in collaboration with Ca' Foscari University of Venice, which organised a programme of initiatives to promote reflection on women's rights and gender equality. The day's programme included the inauguration of the second red bench on one of the university campuses, a round table discussion entitled “Il tempo delle donne” (Women's Time) in the morning, a seminar on obstetric violence and a theatre performance based on Antonia Arslan's “La masseria delle allodole” (The Farm of the Larks) in the afternoon.

All the initiatives were part of the City of Venice's Novembre Donna 2025 programme.
