The Future of Europe Conference and the participation of European citizenship in the platform demonstrate how a more participatory democracy is essential and welcomed in creating a European Union close to its citizens.

Another topic that the meeting "The European Challenges of the Future" addresses is the conclusion and analysis of the Italian semester at the Committee of Ministers. On November 17, 2021, the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe passed from Hungary to Italy at a meeting attended by representatives of the 47 member states of the organization and will end on May 20, 2022.
The Chairman of the Committee of Ministers, Luigi di Maio, Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, outlined the Italian presidency's priorities for the six-month term, which focus on three main themes: reaffirming shared principles and values; strengthening the empowerment of women and the rights of children and adolescents; and building a people-centered future.
