After welcome greetings, by Andrea Torsello, Pro Rector for Research - Ca 'Foscari University of Venice, and Francesca Vianello, Europe Direct - City of Venice, Marzia Santone, Project Officer of Creative Europe Desk Italy - MiBAC, talked about the past and the future of the Creative Europe’s Programme and presented the greatest chance of funding for the Culture Programme: European Cooperation Projects.
Cooperation projects take shape together with partners in order to share and spread ideas, promote works and artists in Europe, to co-produce and create strategies on audience development and / or new cultural business models, to improve the skills of cultural operators, through the use of new technologies.
This call is open to all public and private bodies that want to move beyond borders. Moving beyond borders means, for example, finding other job opportunities, promoting and circulating new ideas / works, reaching new markets, new audiences; it also means abandoning geographical and mental limits for the search of new inspirations and challenges.
Finding inspiration and confrontation was also the starting point of the second part of the event, in which the protagonists of the projects financed by the call on cooperation projects, both as partners and as project leaders, took to the stage of the Santa Margherita Auditorium. The showcase was dedicated to the performing arts and the public was introduced to the stories of:
• "Rights4kids - Theatrical performances to promote the Convention on the Rights of the Child", together with Meri Malaguti, Director General of the Aida Foundation.
• "Vertical Dance Forum", together with Wanda Moretti, from Il Posto Company.
• "Dancing museums: the democracy of beings", together with Susanne Franco, Ca 'Foscari University of Venice, and Elisabetta Bisaro, Center of Développement Chorégraphique du Val-de-Marne.
