19.05.2025 Cycle of meetings CAFFÈ EUROPA "Europe and the protection of rights: pay gap

Monday, May 19, 2025 from 16.30 at the café of the courtyard of the Ca' Foscari University in Venice, took place the meeting entitled "Europe and protection of rights: pay gap", third and last meeting of the Cycle "CAFFE' EUROPA", fortunate format of the European Parliament - Information Office in Milan, with the citizenship where you make the point on various current issues. The cycle of meetings "CAFFE' EUROPA" is an unmissable appointment of the Festival of Europe in Venice and this meeting is the result of the collaboration between Europe Direct of the Municipality of Venice and the Ca' Foscari University in Venice.
The starting point of the meeting is the following not reassuring data: the European Commission in its report on gender equality in 2025 confirmed the gender pay gap at 12%, declining but still persistent. There were other aspects that have been addressed, including the generational gap, the pension gap and in political representation. 

Francesca Vianello, responsible for Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice, also spoke to recall the further events of the Festa dell'Europa.
