03.09.2026 Edu-Day 2026 in Venice

Thursday, September 3, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, the 2026 edition of Edu Day will take place in Mestre-Venice at the M9 Cloister and the Candiani Cultural Centre, an event aimed at bringing together schools, cultural institutions, and cultural services from across the Veneto region. Admission to the more than 35 exhibition stands is free of charge and no registration is required.

Now in its eighth edition, the initiative was created by a network of more than 35 cultural and museum institutions operating throughout the Veneto region, with the aim of meeting the needs of the education sector. The afternoon will be dedicated to fostering connections between cultural and museum institutions and teachers from nursery, primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary schools. On this occasion, educators will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive overview of the educational programmes offered by museums, exhibition centres, libraries, foundations, and cultural services across the region.

Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice will be present at the event with an information stand showcasing its European-themed educational offer for schools in the Veneto region for the 2026-2027 school year, as well as free informational materials for citizens, with a specific focus on European cross-border mobility opportunities for young people.

This year as well, an additional training event will take place on the fourth floor of the Candiani Cultural Centre from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, entitled School and Family, Possible Alliances - New Educational Models and Parenting Roles: Tools and Workshops for Building an Educational Community. The session is intended for teachers of all school levels and is organised in collaboration with Minotauro – Institute for the Analysis of Affective Codes and the Venice Library Network (Three-Year Plan for Youth Policies Interventions Prendo Spazio - Regional Government Resolution No. 66/2025 - Director’s Decree No. 36/2025 - Action Plan Urban Threads: Colourful Stories of a City in Motion; Lead Authority: Municipality of Venice - ATS VEN_12 Project Skills Workshop). The training will focus on changes in educational models and parenting roles, as well as the current relationship between schools and families. At the end of the session, workshops dedicated to young people will be presented, together with practical information on how to participate.
