As students approach the completion of their studies or enter the labour market as recent graduates, going abroad becomes an ideal opportunity to invest in personal and professional development, especially when employment opportunities in Italy do not meet expectations or are limited due to the economic situation.

From an internationalisation perspective, companies and organisations are increasingly seeking candidates who have gained at least one study or work experience abroad. In today’s labour market, technical skills alone are no longer sufficient: it is essential to be able to operate confidently in an international environment, which means speaking foreign languages fluently and understanding the culture, behaviour and mindset of people from different countries.

During the session promoted by the Europe Direct-Eurodesk service of the Municipality of Venice within the framework of “Explore the World… Veneto in Movimento!”, a series of information events on mobility opportunities in Europe addressed to citizens, speaker Bernd Faas will provide an updated overview of current trends and potential destination countries for educational and professional experiences abroad, supporting the development of an internationally oriented career.

Bernd Faas has been working in the field of international mobility for over 25 years. His professional experience covers guidance, preparation and implementation of activities abroad in the areas of work, internships, training and volunteering.
Eurocultura in Vicenza has been involved in international mobility since 1993. Guidance counselling, webinars and “Career Academy” seminars, and the “Muoversi” and “InGermania” newsletters are some of the tools that enable users to define the right path for personal and professional growth through a period abroad.

Our journey through Europe and beyond has continued since 2013 with the series of meetings titled “Explore the world...Veneto in Movimento!”.
