Cycle of meetings in Venice between May and September 2023
Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice and EuCliPA.it, association of Italian Ambassadors of the European Climate Pact, are organizing a series of three meetings between May and September 2023 on climate change and the need for a radical transformation of lifestyles, economy and society.
Associazione EuCliPA.it was born in 2022 from the experience of the informal community of Italian ambassadors of the European Climate Pact: following the values of the Pact, it is committed to spreading knowledge and awareness about the climate and ecological crisis, starting from local communities and reaching the widest and most diverse audience possible at the national level. It also implements initiatives and projects that help address the effects of climate change, thanks to the knowledge, passion and commitment of its members, in the belief that "Every little action together can make a difference.''

 

 

 

 

The events are held at the Candiani Culturall Center, Seminar Room (second floor), P.le Luigi Candiani 7, Mestre-Venice. Participation in the course is opened to all citizens free of charge while places are available.
The three meetings are moments of dialogue with professionals able to guide us along this path, not only because of the skills developed in Italy, but also and especially because of their connection with Europe and the rest of the world

"Europe in the future: does climate change cause future internal migration?"
European Climate Pact ambassadors Gianni Tartari and Silvia Di Gennaro will talk about the phenomenon of climate-induced internal migration.

"The Campus Ghisolfa Renewable Energy Community: the energy that comes from the kids."
Covenant ambassador Mauro Mussin and the school principal of the Istituto Comprensivo Rinnovata di Milano, Anna Teresa Ferri, will present a virtuous example of a school energy community.

"Climate change. And would you change?"
During European Sustainable Mobility Week, Covenant ambassadors Gianrossano Giannini and Abel Gambini will address the broader topic of the challenges to achieving climate neutrality by 2050

Also launched at the April 18 meeting was the call for entries for the 11th "Climate ChanCe" communication and creativity contest - Climate Change - The Grand Challenge.
 

The Competition is organized by Shylock Centro Universitario Teatrale di Venezia with the collaboration of Europe Direct Venezia Veneto and Ca' Foscari University of Venice, under the patronage of the CMCC Foundation EuroMediterranean Center on Climate Change, WWF Italy, Legambiente, ISDE Italy and the sponsorship of CNI Unesco for the final event.

The deadline to participate is September 30, 2023, and the final presentation event will be held on December 1, 2023, at the Ateneo Veneto in Venice. The competition is open to all national and international participants from 18 years of age, groups, associations and organizations.
