March 8, International Women's Day, is celebrated every year in Italy and in many other countries, to remember the social achievements and discrimination to which the female gender has been and still is. The Scritture Scrittrici Migranti Archive of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice wants to commemorate this date with a photographic exhibition dedicated to some of the women who have played a role in the cultural, social, economic and political world and have visited our university. Women who testify to the strength and ability possible in all of us and who offer the first tool to fight against a society that, despite proclamations and celebrations, considers, on many occasions, female dignity as something to be trampled on, if not ignored.
