Competition "Let's Become European Citizens" s.y. 2026/2027
Competition for students in the final three years of upper secondary schools in Veneto.
The deadline for submission of the entry was 20 April 2027
- WRITTEN TEST: article, short essay, composition, report, research paper, etc.; maximum 4 protocol paper pages or 5 typed pages.
- GRAPHIC and MULTIMEDIA TEST: format of choice; all techniques permitted, including multimedia ones.
The winners are officially awarded in May 2027 during the Conference-Debate "Europe for Young People", which also hosts the award ceremony for the competition "Let’s Become European Citizens" as part of the Europe Day in Venice. => As an example, Go to the 2026 Award Ceremony page
The winners will receive an official certificate and a holiday and European studies training stay in Nocera Umbra (PG) from 19 to 24 July 2027. Go to the detailed programme of the 2027 prize stay.
To encourage participation in the competition and stimulate debate on European issues, schools take part in a 2-hour meeting at their premises, organised by Europe Direct Venice Municipality and the MFE European Federalist Movement. The meeting focuses on European citizenship, European institutions, transnational educational mobility, and the priorities of the new European Parliament and European Commission.
