30.09.2026 Venice Student Festival 2026

To mark the beginning of the new 2026/2027 academic year, on Wednesday 30 September 2026 in Venice at the Gardens of the Economics Area Library (BEC), San Giobbe Campus, Venice (Cannaregio 873), the Venice Student Festival 2026 will take place. The event is promoted by the Student Representative Assembly (ARS) of Ca' Foscari University of Venice, under the patronage of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Venice School of Management and Department of Economics) and the Municipality of Venice (Le Città in Festa), with the collaboration of Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice.

The Venice Student Festival, promoted by Ca’ Foscari’s student representatives, aims to mark the beginning of the academic year through welcome, orientation and integration activities for the university community. The initiative seeks to foster connections between the different components of university life in Venice, providing an opportunity for students, institutions, businesses, sports organisations and associations to come together.
The event takes place at the San Giobbe Economics Campus and its gardens (BEC Library area), highlighting them as a meeting place and, at the same time, as an example of how university spaces can be opened up to the city in a safe and sustainable way. Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice will take part in the initiative with an information stand dedicated to training, education and employment opportunities available to young people within the European Union, with a particular focus on European youth mobility.

The initiative focuses on four key areas:

• Welcoming and integrating new students: facilitating the integration of Italian and international students who choose Venice for their studies by introducing them to the tools, services and opportunities available to support their academic journey.
• Promoting the student community: raising the profile of cultural, sports, professional and volunteering associations active within the University and encouraging student participation.
• Dialogue with the world of work: encouraging discussion between students and graduates (Alumni) about the transition from university to the world of work.
• Strengthening ties with the city and the local community: strengthening relations with the city of Venice, its institutions, service providers and the main cultural and sports organisations across the metropolitan area.

 

Programme
Admission to the Festival and all activities taking place within it, including the beverage area, is completely free of charge for students. The event is open with free admission from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and is organised into three integrated main areas:
 

A. Orientation Village and Information Desks (3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.): An open-air hub set up in the gardens of the San Giobbe Campus Library, where numerous local organisations and University services welcome students with information desks and networking activities: University services and student associations will be available from 3:00 p.m.; desks run by local organisations and external partners will open at 5:00 p.m. Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice will be present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- University Services and Right to Education (from 3:00 p.m.): desks dedicated to inclusion, international mobility (Erasmus and Overseas), Career Service, the right to education and guidance on student well-being.
- Student associations (from 3:00 p.m.): a coordinated presence of university groups (Junior Enterprise, finance and marketing clubs, cultural and environmental associations).
- Community and local organisations (from 5:00 p.m.): spaces dedicated to public transport, culture, city sports and urban sustainability organisations.

 

B. Stage Area: Talks & Alumni Round Table (5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.): a session held on the main stage, equipped with technical production facilities and vertical LED screens:
 

C. Responsible Socialising & Musical Entertainment (7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.): The evening programme begins at 7:00 p.m. with official greetings from university and city authorities; activities then continue in an informal social setting, with music and a DJ set by Mercolagoon.

Refreshment, Lounge & Partnership Area (Aperol & ESU Venezia)
The courtyard lounge area will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and will host complimentary refreshments for participants in a relaxed and social setting. From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the area will host an aperitif and opportunities to socialise; musical entertainment will begin at 7:00 p.m.
