18.12.2018 Christmas Tree Decoration Exchange - European Christmas Decoration Exchange Project

On Wednesday, December 18, 2018 from 9.00 am to 12.00 am in Spinea in Piazza Marconi is held the celebration  and the decoration of the Christmas tree, where more than 900 children will be present, from all over Europe.

The initiative is the result of the collaboration between the City of Spinea and the Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice that this year adheres to the Christams Tree Decoration Exchange - European Christmas Decoration Exchange Project as an opportunity for cultural exchange and knowledge of European citizenship .

The project, now in its twelfth edition, was designed by the centerEurope Direct di Wrexham in Wales, England, with the aim of involving the preschools and primary schools
from all over Europe.
This initiative aims at improving knowledge on the culture of other countries, allowing students to better understand their own customs and at the same time discover those of others; in fact, each school participating in the project has created 30 Christmas decorations representative of their region or country that will then be sent to other partner schools throughout Europe. The Christmas tree they will set up will therefore be European and multicultural.
