15.12.2025 EPAS Meeting 2025-2026

On Monday, December 15, 2025, one of the training sessions for EPAS 2025-2026 schools was held online by the European Parliament in Italy, with the participation of Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice.
During the two-hour meeting, students were taken on an educational journey through European history, values, and institutions, starting with the European Parliament. Opportunities for European mobility for young people were also illustrated.
EPAS - The programme
The European Parliament Ambassador School Programme aims to raise awareness among secondary school students from different educational, social and geographical backgrounds about European parliamentary democracy, the role of the European Parliament and European values. The programme also aims to encourage interaction between students and MEPs and to provide young people with useful information on training, internship and job opportunities. The network of ambassador schools also promotes relations with schools in other European countries.
EPAS involves schools across Europe and consists of an annual training programme. Upon completion of the programme, schools are certified as Ambassador Schools, while their senior and junior ambassadors receive a certificate during ceremonies organised by local European Parliament Liaison Offices, in many cases in the presence of MEPs, national and local authorities and partners. The final event of the EPAS project in Veneto takes place in Venice thanks to the collaboration between Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice and the European Parliament Office in Milan, bringing together the European Parliament Ambassador Schools of Veneto in a fruitful discussion in the presence of MEPs from the north-east constituency (see EPAS Veneto 2025 ceremony).
We want Italian pupils to benefit as much as possible from this interactive space. To this end, schools will have the opportunity to book guided tours, take part in interactive simulations of the work of MEPs, and use the conference room for events on European issues.
