Information from the European Union about Coronavirus

The European Commission outlined a website in order to inform all citizens about the the actions taken by the Euroean Commission and the European Union to face Coronavirus emergency. The website is available in all official languages of the Euroepan Union, it is constantly updated and it contains the latest news; the measures adopted in the sanitary field, for mobility and for the economy; the statistics by the Euroepan Center for Deseases Prevention and Control (ECDC); general information and all related documents.

Turism and transports: indications from the European Commission for the recovery 

The Euroepan Commission outlined a series of indications and recommendations in order to help member States to gradually eliminate the limitations to travels and to build, after months of lockdown, the reopening of turist firms while respecting the necessary sanitary precautions. The indications of the Commission aim at offering the citizens the possibility to enjoy a needed rest, to relax and the spend time in fresh air. As soon as the sanitary condition allows it, citizens should be allowed to meet relatoves and friends, inside their country or in another EU country, rspecting all precautions and security measures that are needed. This seires of indication is also intended to help the recovery of the touristic sector of the EU from the pandemic, supporting firms and guaranteing that the European Union continues being the first destination for visitors.  



The indications of the Commission for tourism and transports include:

- a global strategy aimed at the recovery in 2020; 

- a common approach for the reinstatement of free circulation and the gradual and coordinated elimination of the restrictions at internal EU frontiers;

- a plan for the support of the gradual reinstatement of transports, guaranteing both the security of passangers and of the personnel;

- a recommendation aimed at offering quality travels, in such a way that they result to be more attractive than the refund;

- criteria for the gradual and safe recovery of tourist activities and for the development of sanitary protocols for accomodating structures, such as hotels.
