This session of "
Lessons of Europe 2026" is dedicated to the decisions taken by the European Union on the subject of
artificial intelligence, with a view to reflecting on current developments and the medium- to long-term prospects within this crucial field. In particular, the meeting aims to provide an overview of the ongoing changes in the European regulatory framework, from the
AI Act, which came into force on 1 August 2024, to the "
Omnibus Package" (aimed at simplifying the European Union’s regulatory framework), and on the significant implications and influence that the use of AI has on the European Union’s international relations.
The meeting will be held online from 10:00 to 11:30 and is free and open to all citizens, university and secondary school students, and journalists.
HOW TO REGISTER
Each individual lesson is freely accessible to everyone via the following
link.
For the lessons to be recognised as a training course (certificate and/or training credits), please follow the instructions below:
Recognition of training activities
Participants who wish to have the training activity recognised by their institution, or to receive training credits, must register using the appropriate
Google Form, which is essential for training certification.
The following information must be provided in the Google Form:
- the email address used to connect to the lessons (necessary for attendance verification);
- the individual lessons you intend to follow;
- the relevant Europe Direct office, which will issue the final certificate.
Certificate of attendance
The certificate will be issued by the Europe Direct office indicated in the Google Form.
The certificate will show:
- actual attendance at lessons;
- the total number of hours completed;
- whether the final test has been passed, if taken.
Final test (optional)
For those who need to take a final assessment of the skills they've learned, there's a final test.
The test will be in May, at the end of the 2026 European Lessons cycle.
The test is optional and will only be given if you ask for it, just to get your training recognised.
