MUSICAL JOYS 2021 - "...To rise the stars"

20th of June - 5th of September 2021 at ASOLO, MONTEBELLUNA and ALTIVOLE

The International Youth Festival Musical Joys, now in its XVII edition, will take place from the 20th of June to the 5th of September 2021 at Asolo, Montebelluna e Altivole.

The Festival, organized by the Musikdrama Music Association for the artistic direction of Elisabetta Maschio, has the title "...to climb the stars": the strength and fatigue of the climb for the resumption of activities; the goal of the stars to always look up. And the small and big stars: the young musicians and the masters. With Dante who guides us to rediscover, through the journey of the Comedy, the roots of music. This year Gioie Musicali will involve teenagers and young people of different skills taking up some workshops and masterclasses traditionally present in our program.

The Festival is organized by the Musikdrama Association with the collaboration of the Veneto Region, the Province of Treviso, the Municipalities of Asolo, Montebelluna and Altivole, the Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice, under the patronage of the European Parliament.

Participation in all the initiatives of Musical Joys is free of charge and subject to the regulations in force concerning the containment of contagion.

The Festival is realized with the partnership and the patronage of the European Parliament, the Veneto Region, the Province of Treviso, the Municipality of Asolo, Montebelluna and Altivole, the Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice and the ESTA Italia Europea String Teachers Association.

AN INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

Musical Joys is a festival born in 2005 in Asolo (TV), and it represents a moment of encounter for Italian youth musical realities, European and also non-European ones, in one of the most beautiful historical villages in Italy. Every year it involves over 100 childen and young people in musical activities with two orchestras in residence and workshops of theater, improvisation and musical creativity, of sound experiences for children ranging from classical music to jazz, pop, rock and traditional genres with a carefully chosen team of trainers.

Musical joys is music as joy, emotion, participation, formation, communication. It is the acquisition of transversal skills through non-formal methods. But it is also a jewel of a territory that invites you to discover its beauty, to perceive its positivity: a common heritage born in a treasure chest of cultural, landscape and arstistic heritage, which in turn becomes a vehicle for formation, relations, meetings open to all young people, beyond the personal data.

Among the initiatives proposed during the event there is the exhibition "The Mothers and Founding Fathers of the European Union", held at Asolo (TV) from July 2 to August 8, 2021.
