From 16 to 19 June 2026, the fourth edition of the Summer School “Hey EU! Connecting European Union to Youth” will take place in Padua. The initiative is addressed to upper secondary school students in Padua and is dedicated to European citizenship, with the aim of bringing young people closer to the European Union and its institutions. The sessions will be held in the Meeting Room of the Beato Pellegrino Library, Via E. Vendramini 13, Padua (PD).

The initiative is promoted by Progetto Giovani di Padova and Europe Direct Padova, in collaboration with Europe Direct Venezia Veneto and the University of Padua.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required through the online form by Sunday, 31 May 2026. Attendance at the Summer School must not be less than 80% of the total scheduled hours.

The central theme of the four-day training programme is European citizenship, with the aim of promoting greater democratic awareness and participation among young people.

The Summer School aims to inform participants about the strategic priorities implemented by the European Union, through the presentation of European policies and practices at national and local level.

The programme includes classroom-based training activities with lecturers and researchers from the University of Padua, as well as interactive workshops based on non-formal learning methods. There will also be convivial moments and opportunities for informal exchange to help build the group.

Participation is open to students from all fields of study, and no prior knowledge is required.

The Summer School may be fully recognised as part of School-Work Training (FSL). The total number of hours is approximately 30. Schools interested in activating the agreement, even for a single student, could send their request by email to  progettogiovani.scuola@comune.padova.it by Sunday, 17 May 2026.
