01.06.2025 - Europe Direct at the Venice Boat Show
From Thursday, May 29 until Monday, June 2, 2025, the Venice Boat Show was held at the Venice Arsenal.
The Venice Boat Show is now in its sixth edition, returning to host one of the industry's leading international trade shows with 270 exhibitors and 300 boats on a 55,000 square meter water basin. The exhibition venue is always the Venice Arsenal, a symbol of the centuries-old military rule of the Serenissima Republic and the beating heart of its shipbuilding industry. An incomparable historic setting right in the center of Venice, consisting of a water basin and fully restored ancient pavilions.
The Venice Boat Show is sponsored by the Municipality of Venice, organized by Vela spa in cooperation with the Italian Navy.
On the occasion of the Venice Boat Show on Sunday, June 1, 2025, Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice, with its manager Francesca Vianello, participated in the booth of the Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce, a partner of the Veneto Europe Direct sub-network. The topics discussed during the radio interviews focused on the fight against climate change, the Green Deal and the Blue Economy.
This year the Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce collaborated with Assonautica Venezia in a joint booth at Tesa 90 in the Arsenal. The stand was a reference point for operators interested in Assonautica Venezia's events and regattas program; in addition, within the area called Spazio Imprese there were numerous activities that constituted important networking opportunities for companies in the nautical supply chain and for all those who wished to learn more about the Blue Economy, the services of the Chamber of Commerce and the many initiatives promoted by the chamber's entity, through the review of thematic appointments and interviews with the actors of the 2025 Boat Show.

The program on Sunday, June 1 was dedicated to women. In fact, during the entire day there were 3 talks presented by women regarding topics such as: women's work, women and the sea, and women in entrepreneurship.

For years, Assonautica organized courses and examinations for nautical licenses, becoming a point of reference for boaters. Later, following legislative changes, the issuance of licenses became the exclusive responsibility of the harbor master's offices and motorizations.
