LA MOSTRA / THE EXHIBITION
EUROPEAN MONTH OF CREATIVITY

Venezia celebra il Mese Europeo della Creatività con un fitto programma incentrato sulla 108ma Collettiva Giovani Artisti, ospitata presso la Sala del Camino alla Giudecca. L'inaugurazione del 5 maggio vedrà protagonisti 37 giovani talenti, selezionati tramite un bando pubblico che ha raccolto quasi 200 candidature. Un momento chiave di coinvolgimento per il pubblico saranno gli Open Studios, previsti tra il 4 e il 7 maggio: in questi giorni la Fondazione aprirà eccezionalmente i suoi Atelier di Palazzo Carminati e della Giudecca per mostrare i processi creativi dei 28 artisti in residenza e l'attività di ricerca dell'Emeroteca dell’Arte, in un programma curato da Camilla Mozzato. Il calendario degli eventi includerà inoltre un appuntamento speciale dedicato al cinema d'avanguardia a Palazzetto Tito, con la presentazione del volume di Jonas Mekas in conversazione con Adrian Paci e la proiezione del film This Side of Paradise. Completano l'offerta una serie di visite guidate pensate per connettere gli artisti emergenti sia con la comunità locale che con un pubblico internazionale.

Venice celebrates the European Month of Creativity through an extensive program centered on the 108th Young Artists Collective, held at the Sala del Camino in Giudecca. The opening on May 5th will feature 37 young talents, selected through a public call that received nearly 200 applications. A key moment of public engagement will be the Open Studios held between May 4th and 7th, when the Foundation will exceptionally open its Ateliers at Palazzo Carminati and Giudecca to showcase the creative processes of the 28 artists in residence and the research of the Emeroteca dell’Arte, in a program curated by Camilla Mozzato. The events calendar will also include a special appointment dedicated to avant-garde cinema at Palazzetto Tito, featuring the presentation of Jonas Mekas' volume in conversation with Adrian Paci and a screening of the film This Side of Paradise, alongside a series of guided tours designed to connect emerging artists with both the local community and an international audience.

LA RESIDENZA / THE RESIDENCY

L’Istituzione Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa indice un bando per assegnare a due giovani artisti/e uno spazio a Venezia (presso Palazzo Carminati a San Stae) dove studiare e lavorare per un periodo di cinque settimane. La residenza è parte integrante del progetto europeo CreArt 3.0 #stringing_together.  Per partecipare i richiedenti dovranno avere un’età compresa tra i 18 e i 40 anni alla data di scadenza del presente bando e risultare nati, residenti o domiciliati in una delle città nel network del progetto.

The Istituzione Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa announces a call for applications to assign two young artists a space in Venice (at Palazzo Carminati in San Stae) where they can study and work for a period of five weeks. The artist residency programme is part of the European project CreArt 3.0 #stringing_together. To participate, applicants must be between 18 and 40 years of age on the deadline date of this call and be born, resident or domiciled in one of the cities in the project network.

CAPACITY BUILDING

Quest'anno, il programma degli Atelier si arricchisce grazie al progetto europeo CreArt. L'obiettivo è fornire ai giovani talenti quegli strumenti pratici e professionali spesso assenti nei percorsi formativi tradizionali. Attraverso workshop intensivi e seminari locali, gli approfondiscono i temi chiave per la gestione della propria carriera:

• Aspetti Legali e Contrattualistica: con Virginia Lupo di Art Workers Italia (AWI) per navigare tra tutele e diritti nel mondo del lavoro culturale.
• Comunicazione e Branding: con Lorenzo Mason per curare la propria immagine professionale, dai portfolio ai biglietti da visita.
• Esperienze sul campo: incontri diretti con artisti ed esperti che hanno già segnato il percorso della Fondazione, per un passaggio di competenze intergenerazionale.

This year, the Atelier program is enhanced by the European project CreArt. The goal is to provide young talents with the practical and professional tools often missing from traditional educational paths. Through intensive workshops and local seminars, participants will delve into key themes for managing their artistic careers:

• Legal Aspects and Contracts: with Virginia Lupo from Art Workers Italia (AWI) to navigate protections and rights within the cultural labor market.
• Communication and Branding: with Lorenzo Mason to refine their professional image, from portfolios to business cards.
• Field Experience: direct meetings with artists and experts who have already left their mark on the Foundation’s history, facilitating an intergenerational transfer of skills.
