Civil Unions

To form a civil partnership, two persons of the same sex who are of legal age must jointly apply to the Civil Registrar of the municipality of their choice. In the request, the parties must declare their personal particulars and the absence of any causes preventing the union from being formed, as provided by law.

 After the required checks have been carried out in order to prove the non-existence of impeding causes, the parties will be invited to appear again before the Civil Registrar to make the declaration constituting the union in the presence of two adult witnesses.

• book the appointment through the online form in the section Booking appointment for the protocol of the request for the establishment of a civil union

• make the appointment for the establishment of the civil union by visiting the section Booking the date of the civil union 

• be in possession of a valid identification document.
