Authorizations to derogate from maximum noise limits for temporary activities

Anyone who uses amplification and sound diffusion systems in external areas or intends to carry out temporary noisy activities which involve exceeding the limits established by the D.P.C.M. 14/11/1997, such as construction sites, road construction sites and similar or events in public places or places open to the public, and in any case anyone who falls into the cathegories provided by the "Municipal Regulation for the regulation of noise emissions in derogation from current noise limits", is required to request specific derogation authorization to the competent municipal office, according to National Law n. 447/1995 (open the link Law on noise pollution), Regional Law n. 21/1999 (open the link Noise pollution regulations) and the aforementioned Regulation, attached at the bottom of the page.

The authorization requests to derogate from the maximum noise limits for temporary activities must be submitted exclusively on the following web sites:

  • the SUAP Portal of the Municipality of Venice for the activities of sole proprietorships, profit companies and for-profit entities;

  • the Events Portal of the Municipality of Venice for events organized by associations, parishes and non-profit organizations.

Authorization requests submitted in any other forms (certified e-mail, paper request at the Protocol office or registered letter) will be rejected.

The resolution of the City Council n. 198 of 07/09/2017, published on 12/09/2017, has introduced the payment of € 50 for the administrative fee.
