16.09-22.09.2019 European Mobility Week

From  September 16th to 22nd 2019 the European Mobility Week was held, in its 18th edition, with the aim of engaging on the path of sustainability and improving the quality of life in our cities. Every year, in September, thousands of cities and millions of European citizens celebrate sustainable mobility and send a message of change and renewal of our lifestyles.

In order to encourage participation in the event, every year the European Mobility Week focuses on a particular topic related to sustainable mobility, on the basis of which local authorities are invited to organize activities for their citizens and to initiate and promote permanent support measures. The theme of the 2019 edition of the Mobility Week is "active mobility", understood mainly as pedestrian and cycling mobility, for which the slogan "Let's walk together" was chosen.

This year the European Mobility Week spotlights on the safety of walking and cycling and on the advantages that active forms of mobility have for our health, our environment and our future.
