Pilot Projects
Each MEDA city, with the support of a EU city of reference, is developing a pilot project for the regeneration of a chosen target area in the city.
This work is being done within a local working group composed by the Municipality and the main actors and stakeholders interested in the area. The local working group is meeting periodically, at least once every two months and it reports bimonthly to the Project leader on its activities.
The first task is to develop a SWOT analysis of the target area in order to define the priorities for its development.
This analysis will lead to a feasibility study for the regeneration and development of the target area (between June 2007 and October 2008). It will include a financial and implementation plan in order to realise the actions/projects foreseen after the end of ARCHIMEDES project.
Useful instruments for project design.
Many interesting information and documents can be found on the EuropeAid website (European Commission) regarding the design and delivery of projects.
Especially, the Project Cycle Management Guidelines can help you throughout the project management cycle and should be used as an important reference and resource.
