Venice takes part in the the 13th edition of the Week of Culture, an initiative launched by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
 
For nine days, from 9 to 17 April,  free admission to many museums, exhibitions, archaeological sites, archives, and libraries is provided. Many guided tours and lectures are also organized.
