The Teatro della Murata ("Theatre of the Wall") is a small theatre, holding about 70 seats, made out of a warehouse in the old town centre of Mestre. It is so called because it is in a building clung to the remaining part of the ancient town walls. It was inaugurated in 1970.

This theatre housed both the new trends in theatre and well-known actors. It has often given local companies the opportunity to perform their plays, which could hardly have been staged in the other theatres of the city.
