The works for putting up the fourth bridge on the Grand Canal will affect the regular water traffic and public boat services in town. There will be four transport and assembling phases: the arrival and placement of the two bridge shoulders and the completion of the structure with the central arch. In order to reduce the inconvenience to citizens and tourists as much as possible, the works will take place mostly at night and on weekends and an alternative circulation plan has been arranged.

- Palazzo Labia: 51 to Rialto and Lido via Grande Canal, 52 to Lido via F.te Nuove
- Ponte delle Guglie: 42 to Murano via F.te Nuove

Services for disabled people
An accessible shuttle boat service organized by the City of Venice will be available on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th August to help disabled people move in the areas closed for the placement of the fourth bridge by Piazzale Roma and the train station.
Shuttle boats of the Sanitrans company, provided with a lift platform, will leave from the ASL landing by the Rio Nuovo Canal in Piazzale Roma and go towards the public boat stops by Palazzo Labia, Guglie and San Tomà.
