Venice Carnival is steeped in history, charm and tradition: its inhabitants and tourists alike have taken a keen interest in it, thanks to its mix of transgression, art, history and culture in one of the most unique cities in the world.

a special programme of educational activities and creative initiatives associated with the themes of the Carnival and aimed at schoolchildren and kids, families and public.
The programmes intends encouraging the direct realisation by the participants of costumes, accessories, masks and instruments.
Every day, workshops will be offered for schools, art workshops and guided tours for children and families, interactive games, entertainment, surprise performances and many curiosities, all enlivened with gadgets, flapjacks and chocolate.

Rediscover the ancient art of mask-making and the ancient techniques of papier-mâché masks.


Thirty years after its construction, the exhibition curated by Maurizio Scaparro will re-examine the famous project by Aldo Rossi for the Teatro del Mondo, a floating theatre moored at the Punta della Dogana, built in 1979 for the Theatre and Architecture sections on the occasion of the "Venezia e lo spazio scenico" exhibition. Used in 1980 by the Theatre section for the first edition of the Venice Carnival, the Teatro del Mondo was towed across the sea in the summer of 1980 for the Theatre Festival of Dubrovnik.
